I’m a Dutch family photographer based in Basel, Switzerland. Before moving here, I lived in Singapore for many years.
My own children are what first inspired me to take photography seriously. They’ve grown quite a bit since then, they’re now 13 and 11, but they’re still the reason I love photographing families.
I’ve always loved capturing the personalities, expressions and little quirks that make each child who they are.
The funny habits, the personalities, the way siblings interact, the expressions that come and go in a split second, and the everyday moments you don’t necessarily think to photograph.
Having children of my own has taught me how quickly these things change. It’s probably why I have such a soft spot for photographing families, and why I want my photographs to capture not just what your family looked like, but a little of what it felt like to be together at that particular stage of your lives.

MY APPROACH
Knowing how awkward it can be to be pose in front of the camera, I prefer documentary and lifestyle photography both outdoors and indoors in natural light, over posed cheese smiles in a studio. Fortunately, the natural light in both Switzerland and the Netherlands is amazing.
I hope to capture the (im)perfect moments of your family as well. I like to keep things casual, relaxed and un-posed to make your photography experience enjoyable
